Plainly, and without legal claims: this page says what happens to what you type.

The record you build

It is kept in your browser, on this device, and nowhere else. It is not sent anywhere. Closing the page does not erase it; clearing your browser's storage does. The tool can write it to a file you keep, and read that file back.

What these pages send

Nothing. The pages of this site carry no analytics, no tracking pixel, no third-party script, and no fonts loaded from elsewhere.

What the tool sends, and only if you ask it to

The tool is local first: your journal, your evidence and your notes are written to this device and stay there. Three things are exceptions, each of which you have to start yourself, and none of which happens by simply using the tool:

• An account. Optional. Creating one sends your email address so the account can exist and so a membership can be attached to it.
• Online backup of your evidence. Optional. Files are encrypted on this device before they leave it, and the passphrase never leaves this device, so the encrypted copies cannot be read by us.
• Checking a membership. If you have one, the tool asks the server whether it is active, rather than trusting a flag stored on your device.

Everything else, including writing your record, building your timeline and printing, happens without any network request.

This section was corrected on 2026-08-21. It previously said the tool made no network request of any kind, which was true of an earlier version and stopped being true when accounts and backup were added. It is recorded here rather than quietly edited, because a privacy statement that has silently drifted is worse than one that admits it changed.

What you wrote, which state you selected, whether you printed anything, or that you were here at all.

What is not claimed

This page describes behaviour, not compliance. No statement here is a legal conclusion about any privacy statute, and none should be read as one.

Where you are still exposed

A record kept in a browser is readable by anyone who can use this device or profile. If that is a risk for you, keep the file somewhere only you can reach, and use the erase button when you are done.
