How long do I have to sue over personal injury in Massachusetts?
Answered for: Massachusetts
Section 2A. Except as otherwise provided, actions of tort, actions of contract to recover for personal injuries, and actions of replevin, shall be commenced only within three years next after the cause of action accrues.
The statute states 3 years for personal injury. When that clock starts, and whether it can be paused, are separate questions this entry does not answer.
