Prepare your case for court in Quebec

Document. Organize. File.

The private legal-file organizer. Your case, ready for court. A free app for documenting on your own, day after day, and producing a clear, dated, organized report in Québec: family, housing, employment, small claims, criminal or immigration.

On your own or alongside a lawyer, it helps you prepare everything : appear in court, review your case, and pinpoint what matters · with a method, never deciding for you.

Documenting is free forever, up to 3 cases · a membership unlocks reports, printing, and exports: from $5/month.

The strength of your case is you: every word is your own, every exhibit is dated and fingerprinted. That's exactly what a court respects.

Self-representing is common. Being well-prepared is rare.

No one shows us how to document: what to write down, how to stay factual, how to organize dozens of photos and screenshots so they're actually usable. We show up with memories and a jumble of texts, instead of a structured case.

58% of parties in family-law cases represented themselves in 2019-2020, versus 42% with a lawyer (Statistics Canada, Juristat, 28 June 2021)
70% of responding parties represented themselves in 2019-2020, the highest share in the survey (Statistics Canada, Juristat, 28 June 2021)

These two figures do not cover Quebec: “Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec and Manitoba do not yet participate in the survey,” Statistics Canada writes. No Quebec equivalent could be read at its own source, so we publish none.

A well-documented case guarantees nothing. But a poorly documented case costs you dearly.

How it works: you stay the author from first word to last

    1

    You document

In the app: every event dated, every photo fingerprinted, your exchanges filed. Two taps in the moment, the narrative when you can.

    2

    You verify

Every sentence is yours. The checker combs through the case (captions, dates, gaps) before generating: nothing is written for you.

    3

    You generate and file

A clean, complete report · numbered exhibits, timeline, integrity attestation page: ready to print and file.

    The math, honestly

Sorting through months of texts, photos, and receipts, building the timeline, assembling the exhibit book: in a contested case, that's easily 5 to 10 hours of work · at $250/h with a lawyer, that adds up to $1,250 to $2,500 before even the first piece of advice.

The app has you do that sorting yourself, simply, as the days go by. And if you then consult a lawyer for the essentials, on a limited-scope mandate, they receive a case that's already clean. You pay for legal judgment, not filing.

    What makes the method different

    • The format used here : first-person timeline, reported statements with neutral attribution, appendices numbered P-1, P-2…, exhibit table: the structure Québec's family court actually sees.
    • Completeness : every exhibit from the period, not a selective cut · selectivity is what destroys credibility.
    • Honest dates : every item says when it was recorded. That transparency is what makes a case credible.
    • Designed for ONE person : no need for the other parent to sign up for anything.
    • No artificial intelligence writes your documents, you write everything; the method provides the structure.
    • Built by someone who's lived it : the method comes from a real case, documented over years. The story here.

    One engine, many battles

Documenting properly matters for far more than custody. The same tool, the same integrity method, adapted to the court you're facing.

    Family

Custody, parenting time, visits: dated log, planned-vs-actual gaps, visit report ready to file.

    Housing (TAL)

Tenant or landlord: condition reports, dated notices, proof of notification, a case ready to attach.

    Work (CNESST)

Symptom log, medical appointments, timeline of the incident, export for your representative.

    Small claims

The court designed for self-representation: your evidence file, assembled and printable.

    Criminal: information

Understand the process (appearance, trial, discharge, criminal record), organize your facts, your exhibits, and your preparation. Information, never advice.

    Immigration

IRCC, CISR, Federal Court: keep your applications, documents, and dates in order, in a case ready to present.

The Library → general information, sourced and dated, on each of these areas (and on criminal topics: discharge, assault, criminal record). Never legal advice.

The kind of feedback we want to earn

Plenty of software products display dozens of made-up testimonials. Not us. Preuve en main has just launched: rather than inventing reviews, here are some illustrative examples, clearly labelled as such. No real person is quoted here · the day real reviews come in (with written consent), they will replace these examples.

    Illustrative example
“I had screenshots and notes everywhere. In one evening, everything was dated and filed, and I was able to hand my lawyer a clean document.”
Illustration · a parent documenting their access visits
    Illustrative example
“Every photo with its date and its fingerprint, the timeline ready to go: at my TAL hearing, I knew exactly where to find each piece of evidence.”
Illustration · a tenant before the housing tribunal
    Illustrative example
“It didn't give me advice · and that's exactly what reassures me. It just organized my facts, without deciding anything for me.”
    Illustration · a self-represented person

The same standard of honesty we demand for your evidence: we don't display anything we can't stand behind.

The app is ready, and it's free

Dated log, evidence vault with digital fingerprints, print-ready reports: everything runs on your device, no account, no charge. See everything it does.

    Three questions we get asked

    Do you give legal advice?

No, never. Giving a legal opinion is an act reserved for lawyers and notaries in Québec, and it's not our job. We offer documentation, method, and general information. For an opinion on your situation: legal aid, a community justice centre, or the Barreau's lawyer referral service. More details in the FAQ.

Can I do all of this myself, without you?

Yes, and people do. What the app saves you: months of trial and error on structure, tone, and organizing your exhibits. It gives you the proven method, free.

Will my report be accepted by the court?

The admissibility and weight of any document are always up to the court · no one can guarantee otherwise, and be wary of anyone who does. Our method makes your documentation clear, dated, and organized; having a lawyer review it before filing is always recommended.
