List every exchange that matters — text, email, call, letter, conversation — with its date, the person and one line on what was said. Then answer the question that actually matters: do you still have it, and in what form? A text on a lost phone, a screenshot with no date, an email in a mailbox you can no longer open — those are not available evidence. In Quebec, proof of any relevant fact “may be made by any means” (art. 2857 C.C.Q.), but the court must of its own motion exclude evidence obtained in breach of fundamental rights where its use would bring the administration of justice into disrepute (art. 2858). This tool takes inventory; it makes nothing admissible.

What this tool does, and what it does not do

It inventories. It makes nothing admissible. That an exchange appears in your list says nothing about its admissibility, relevance or weight: the court decides.
Beware of what was recorded without right. Article 2858 of the Civil Code requires the court to exclude, of its own motion, evidence obtained in breach of fundamental rights where using it would bring the administration of justice into disrepute. Recording a conversation you are not part of, or going through someone else's account, is not a small thing — in doubt, talk to a lawyer BEFORE relying on it.
It recovers nothing. If a message is gone, the tool only makes you notice it — which is already useful: you then know what to ask for (from your provider, from the other party, or through an access request).
It calculates no deadline and does not say what must be sent to the other party. Check with the court office.
Nothing is sent or stored anywhere else. You are writing sensitive things here: they stay in this browser, and “Clear everything” deletes them.
