How long do I have to sue over tort (general) in Connecticut?

Answered for: Connecticut

Sec. 52-577. Action founded upon a tort. No action founded upon a tort shall be brought but within three years from the date of the act or omission complained of.

The statute states 3 years for tort (general). When that clock starts, and whether it can be paused, are separate questions this entry does not answer.
