In California, does the statute say what « practicing law » means?

6125. No person shall practice law in California unless the person is an active licensee of the State Bar.

The California section states the prohibition in one sentence and stops there: nothing in the quoted text defines what practising law means. Where that definition does come from is not answered by this section, and this page does not answer it.
