Case reference, court and jurisdiction, party names, author contact details, relevant dates and your supporting exhibits. Provide verified legal grounds where requested; the tool does not invent authorities or facts.
Review before filing
Confirm that this document is appropriate for the proceeding, use any mandatory official form, check confidentiality and redactions, and complete required signatures, swearing and service. A draft export is not a filing or proof of service.
Category and limits
Help preparing the official form · category B · practice area : Housing · offered in case files of type : Housing
Help preparing the official form: the tool prepares your answers, line by line, and links the official form. You check each line, transfer it onto the official form, sign it and handle any oath, notification and filing yourself. The tool guarantees no outcome.
Official form
The official PDF is neither reproduced nor pre-filled by the tool: Québec government content may not be reproduced without prior authorization (quebec.ca “Droit d’auteur”, updated 10 February 2025, read on 2026-10-21). You copy the prepared answers onto the official form yourself, check each line and sign it.
What the provisions read require
- TAL procedure regulation, r. 5, s. 3 — Written and signed application with the names, addresses and given names of the parties, the address of the dwelling, “un exposé sommaire des motifs” and the conclusions (13-02).
- TAL-001-E notes (2026-06) — French text: the proof of notification and a list of exhibits “doivent être déposées au dossier du Tribunal dans les 45 jours suivant l’introduction de la demande”; change of address to be given “sans délai”. (TAL — TAL-001-E, Demande (2026-06), read on 2026-10-21)
- C.C.Q., art. 1971 — Non-payment: delay of more than three weeks, or frequent late payment (13-02 summary). (LégisQuébec — Code civil du Québec, read on 2026-10-21)
Time limits read
- Proof of notification and list of exhibits within 45 days after the application is introduced (TAL Act, s. 56.2; TAL-001-E). Other deadlines depend on the recourse (e.g. C.C.Q., arts. 1947, 1963: one month after the refusal).
Exhibits and documents
- Lease and notices exchanged; proofs of payment; dated photos; list of exhibits TAL-100-E.
To verify (not read or not settled)
- TAL fees (T-15.01, r. 6): title only read.
- Online filing on the TAL site: not covered.
- Gap between the TAL-806-E notice model and Schedule I of r. 1.1 (13-02, F06): open, for review by a lawyer.
Help preparing the official TAL form (category B). The headings follow TAL-001-E (2026-06) re-read on 2026-10-21; s. 3 of r. 5 and ss. 56.1-56.10 of the TAL Act are quoted as read by research 13-02. Québec statutes and most Québec sources linked here were read in French; English wording in this guide is an unofficial summary unless an official English text is linked.
